What's inside
- Points on every question and part, totalled automatically

- Answer space that turns into the written solution in the key
- One line, \printanswers, switches the whole exam to the answer key
examamsmath, amssymb, geometryThe exam class does the bookkeeping teachers otherwise do by hand: it adds up points per question, builds the grading table on the front page, and prints "Page 2 of 3" in the header. This template sets it up for a typical written exam, with a name and student ID line, instructions that quote the total automatically, and a mix of question types.
Solutions live right next to their questions. Students see blank answer space; remove the % in front of \printanswers and the same file compiles into the answer key, ticks and all. Write the exam with a co-teacher in the same document and nobody has to merge versions.
